The Ukrainian project delivered by BESSMONT, delivers a major advancement in national energy stability through a high-capacity 87.5 MW / 175.525 MWh battery storage installation designed for modern grid support services. This large-scale system strengthens the resilience of critical infrastructure by providing frequency regulation, peak management and real-time grid balancing across demanding network conditions. 35 containerized BESS units, of 5.015MWh each, equipped with black-start capability, can restore power to essential grid segments without relying on external supply, significantly enhancing emergency preparedness and grid recovery. In addition, the system enables active participation in energy trading, allowing the operator to optimize dispatch strategies and capture market opportunities. The BESSMONT battery storage installation at OFZ Oravský Podzámok strengthens the energy security and stability of one of Slovakia’s most energy-intensive metallurgical operations. The 10 MW and 30 MWh system supports more efficient energy management, peak-load reduction, and long-term operational resilience.Six containerized BESS units, each providing 5.015 MWh, create a robust storage foundation that enables OFZ to better manage consumption, stabilize energy flows, and reduce exposure to electricity price volatility. Integrated with advanced EMS and PCS control systems, the solution optimizes charging, discharging and real-time energy operations while supporting sustainability goals. BESSMONT BESS installation at Voderady represents synergy between storing, supplying and trading energy. 15MWh project will support effective energy consumption of Voderady facility for both labs, battery production line and BESS assembly line. The project is implemented in two phases:· Phase I: 2.5 MW with one BESS of 5,015MWh· Phase II: Expansion to 7.5 MW with installation of three BESS with total capacity of 15MWh. Three advanced BESS units (5.015 MW each) will enable, energy efficiency, energy trading and support to the BESSMONT production site — creating a unique synergy between manufacturing and real-market energy operations.
